The European Patent Academy organizes a seminar "How to understand EPO search reports & written opinions" on 14 - 16 July 2009 at the European Patent Office, Berlin.

The event offers a unique opportunity to deepen skills in dealing with search reports and written opinions issued by the EPO. This public training focuses both on the establishment of a search report and a written opinion issued by the EPO and on the interpretation of the information contained therein.

The programme takes into account the needs of different technical areas and those of patent intelligence. Supported by lectures and exercises, trainees will acquire hands-on experience in dedicated workshops and have the opportunity to discuss related topics with EPO experts as well as in plenary sessions.
