WIPO launched on June 1, 2010, WIPO GOLD, a free, on-line global intellectual property (IP) reference resource that provides quick and easy access to a broad collection of searchable IP data and tools relating to, for example, technology, brands, designs, statistics, WIPO standards, IP classification systems and IP laws and treaties.
 
Furhter to the accession by Poland to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs, which will take effect on July 2, 2009, the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will make available to users updated forms for the filling of applications for international registration of industrial designs (DM/1), recording of a limitation (DM/3), renewal (DM/4) and recording of a renunciation (DM/5).
 
On 11 - 12 June, 2009 the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is holding Seminar on the Madrid System of International Registration of Marks (French session). This Seminar is aimed at increasing awareness and practical knowledge of the Madrid system of international registration of marks among industry and private practitioners who use, or will use, the system.
 
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announced that New amendments to the Regulations of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) will take effect from July 1, 2009. The amendments are available at the WIPO website http://www.wipo.int/pct/en/texts/index.htm
 
The European Patent Academy organizes a seminar "How to understand EPO search reports & written opinions" on 14 - 16 July 2009 at the European Patent Office, Berlin.
 
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) informed that on 7 April, 2009 Ukraine accessed to the Locarno Agreement Establishing an International Classification for Industrial Designs which will enter into force on 7 July 2009 in Ukraine and accessed to the Strasbourg Agreement Concerning the International Patent Classification will enter into force on 7 April 2010 in Ukraine.
 
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) informed that on 2 April, 2009 the The Republic of Poland accessed to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement concerning the international registration of industrial designs which will enter into force on 2 July 2009 in Poland.
 
On 20-21 April 2009 the Nordic-Baltic Working Group Meeting on Trademarks and Designs will take place at the Lithuanian Technical Library, Šv. Ignoto str. 6 in Vilnius to commemorate the World Intellectual Property Day.
 
Users are hereby informed that, as of the seventh issue of the SPB Official Bulletin in 2009, the paper version of the SPB Official Bulletin will be discontinued. The paper version of the SPB Official Bulletin will be replaced by electronic publication (exact replica of the paper version).
 
As a contribution to the events in the sphere of intellectual property organised by Vilnius as the capital of European culture, the State Patent Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania, along with Vilnija Business Incubator, is organising the event “Day of Vilnius technical creation protection” featured by the exhibition at the Lithuanian Technical Library, Open Day at the State Patent Bureau and seminar-discussion at Vilnija Business Incubator.
